Part 1- Pre production, sponsors, show rundowns, and goals clarification. 

Camera operation, focus, lenses, white balance, lighting for studio and field, framing, b-roll, interview set ups, and much more.  Field setting, including intermediate and advanced shooting and editing techniques.  Field lighting and audio, production  planning, and shooting for a script. Production teams create professional-quality video productions suitable for airing on Comcast 25.

Get practical experience as camera operator, audio technician, control room technician, or other crew members for designated productions.The course also introduces basic audio for use in video.

Field setting, including intermediate and advanced shooting and editing techniques.Students practice field lighting and audio, production budgeting and planning, and shooting for a variety of situations.

Part 2 - Studio Production

Video production in a studio setting. Learn studio production planning, lighting, and audio along with basic video engineering. Practice all crew positions, including floor director, camera operator, lighting technician, audio technician, and technical director.

Topics include basic sound characteristics, microphones, single and multi-track recording techniques, and sound reinforcement and enhancement. Students work on a production team to complete productions and learn about sound in a studio setting.

Minimum of 6 students - Maximum of 12. 

Class begins Monday, February 6, 2012 at 7pm and last for six consecutive weeks, and ends March 19, 2012 (extra week for make up.  Course Fee:  $129 for members; $249 for non-members for 6 week course

The start date will be pushed back for two weeks until the minimum class is assembled.  Updates will be available on this site if necessary.

To get your certificate, you need to have 6 classes.  We have designed one extra class to adjust for an absence.
