Studio 25 operates on a Membership model.  Membership will be open to everyone who wants to use the facilities.  Each producer/production will be required to pay a membership fee of $250.00 annually - paid before February 29, 2012.  Checks or money orders only, payable to Comcast.  There are only two payment options; a single check for the year, or two checks for $125 payed before February 29, 2012

For any programming to air through public access the producer must become a member.  Membership at Comcast Studio 25 is $250, paid annually.  This policy applies to both programs produced utilizing our facility and programs produced outside of our facility.  If you pay $250 annually you will be given a guaranteed timeslot for 6 months. Delivery of programming needs to be at the studio 48 hours prior to air day. 

Membership benefits:  

3  HRs Studio time  per month, including live productions.

Studio time, past the allowable monthly; $50 per hour!

1 day (24 Hours) field package per month.

An additional Package is $50 per 24 Hours.

4 Hours edit suite time (without editor)

Anything over 4 hours, $50.00 per hour.

Editors must complete one of the following in order to reserve and use edit suites.

1. Provide Final Cut 6 or 7 certification or  documentation of experience with Final Cut 6 or 7.

2. Complete Comcast editing course and perform 40 hours of editing internship.

As a reminder all footage for editing must be in mini-dv format or DVD.

Please schedule your editing time at least 10 days prior to deadline.

With an editor, $50.00 per hour.

When using the editing suites you must provide your own drive and tapestock.  We recommend the following brands:  LaCie, Maxtor, Iomega or Western Digital with a minimum of 250GB.

Crew member support:

    Technical Director     $50/hour

    CG Op                          $25/hour

    Teleprompter             $25/hour

    Audio                           $25/hour 

    Lighting                      $25/hour

Field/Location Production, with Crew of (2) a day with Zeel/BHF equipment  $500.

All fee services must be paid prior to the service no later than the day of service.

FAQ

Why are you using a Membership Model?

A.  Costs are continuing to rise, and the equipment needs servicing and upgrading.  We need to contribute to the greater good of the operation in order to deliver quality programming for the area and to mitigate the cost of running the studio.

Where did you get the fee of $250 per year?

A.  We based the fees on those charged in similar studio facilities in like markets.  We have had to increase the monthly fees to accommodate additional costs in processing payments.  The annual membership has remained the same price.

What do I get for my membership fees?

A.  Membership has many priviledges: Studio time, some free gear rental and discount on gear rentals, and discounts on courses and training, and a timeslot, to name a few.
